I am a new customer. How do I open an account with you?
A:
If you have never shopped at www.bahaibooks.com before then simply click onto the “Register” button in the upper right hand corner of the website under the white rectangle with the shopping cart. Be sure to choose a user name and password that will be easy to remember or record it elsewhere for your records as you will need this information when you revisit www.bahaibooks.com again and login as a registered user/customer.
Q:
I can’t find an item I am looking for. How can I search for it?
A:
There are multiple ways to search for items on our website.
By key word -
If you know part of the title, you may search by key words that might be found in the title of the item. So if you simply type in the word “Baha’i” the search result will bring up over 200 titles, therefore, you will need to put in a part of the title to get the exact book you are looking for.
Browse the web Categories section -
On the left hand side of our home page your will find a column with the heading, “Categories”. These categories include such topics as, “Baha’i Introduction” and “Baha’i Writings-Sacred Texts”. When you click on these they will reveal sub categories. Each subcategory will open a list of books or in some cases another series of subcategories. NOTE: Soon you will be able to simply pass your curser over these main categories and a rollover menu will appear revealing all of the subcategories without having to click into separate pages.
Q:
I know you carry an item and I can’t find it. Why?
A:
Some items are temporarily removed from the website when they go out of stock. Products sold by some international vendors can take over three months or more to arrive. These items are temporarily removed from the website and will be placed back on the website when they are back in stock. If you have further questions regarding the availability of a title please call us (free call 1800 251 022 or for residents in Victoria 03 9357 1880).

What methods of payment do you accept?
A:
We accept MasterCard, and Visa. You may also pay by personal cheque or money order if you are mailing your order. If you decide to pay by personal cheque or money order, please note that BDS requires upfront payment. This means that BDS will need to process payment of your cheque or money order before processing your order. When paying by cheque or money order please do not forget to add shipping charges and applicable taxes. You may want to ring BDS directly to inquire about the correct and total amount (including total purchase price, postage and other charges) to include on your cheque or money order.
Q:
How do I buy a gift certificate for someone and how do I pay with a gift certificate?
A:
Currently you must call Bahá'í Distribution Service at (free call 1800 251 022 or for residents in Victoria 03 9357 1880) to purchase a gift certificate. You must mail it to Bahá'í Distribution Service along with your book order in order to redeem it. NOTE: In the coming weeks, you will be able to both purchase and apply gift certificates on line at www.bahaibooks.com.

Can I change or cancel my on-line order once I place it?
A:
Once you have completed your on-line order you cannot change or cancel it on the website. Please call us immediately and one of our customer service representatives will be happy to assist you.

Will bahaibooks.com ship to an international address?
A:
We are happy to fill personal orders from international customers. However, if you live in US, Canada, Europe and the Pacific Rim we ask that you contact our agents in those areas: BDS in New Zealand, Donya Co.& US BDS in the United States, BDS in Canada, Bahá’í Books UK, Baha’I Forlag Norway and the main distributors in other countries in Europe, respectively. Please email us at bds@bahai.org.au to obtain contact information for these distributors. In such cases you will often be able to receive your order sooner and with less shipping charges. Should a book be unavailable from these distributors, we warmly invite you to shop online at www.bahaibooks.com and we will quickly process your order. Q:
Can I return an item once I receive it?
A:
If the book or other item is in "new" condition and has been purchased within 2 weeks, please wrap it securely and send it back with a copy of your invoice and a letter stating the reason for your return.
- Please know that we are only able to accept items that have been purchased from Bahá'í Distribution Services Australia.
- Please include a copy of your invoice or packing slip with the returned items.
- Unless an item is found to be defective, we can accept no returns after 2 weeks past the date the item was shipped.
- Unfortunately any shrink-wrapped item including all CDs and software cannot be returned if they have been opened as a visual inspection of such products cannot guarantee that the item is in saleable condition for another customer.
- We cannot be responsible for packages lost or damaged during return. Therefore, we highly recommend that your return be sent via an insured and traceable method.
- The credit for your return will be applied to the credit card used to make the purchase. However, any postage fees incurred by you when having your items posted to you, and when returning an item is your responsibility. BDS will not refund any postage fees associated with bought and returned items.
