Baha’i Distribution Services (BDS) use the services of Australia Post and Air Express Courier to distribute to addresses within Australia and internationally.
We process the orders within 2 working days from the date of receipt of the order.
Small orders are normally sent by Australia Post. Large orders are sent by courier, therefore you will need to provide an street address for the delivery of your order. You will need to provide this address when you order by phone (free call 1800 251 022, or for residents in Victoria 03 9357 1880) or when you proceed to checkout at the online BDS bookstore.
For urgent orders, goods are sent via the Australia Post Air Express Service (express mail). Your Postage rate for express mail will depend on the size of your order. A flat rate of $16 is charged for orders up to 3kg.
We also send orders by express mail to other countries and charge customers what Australia Post is charging us. Deliveries through Australia Air Express can be tracked.
Free Shipping
All orders for eligible items amounting to $150.00 or more qualify for Free Shipping within Australia.
Please Note: The Free Shipping offer will not apply to orders where cancellations or returns reduce the amount of the qualifying purchase price to less than $150.00. BDS reserves the right to charge applicable shipping and handling costs to any such orders.
Within Australia (Domestic)
Please note that for deliveries in Australia, we charge a single fee per order, which can include books, CD’s and DVD’s.
Posters are not included in this fee structure, as they are normally sent separately in a cylindrical tube meant for postage of posters. The use of postage tubes prevent damage or wear and tear to posters. A flat rate of $6.00 is added to your postage cost, if posters are included in your order.
Any purchases under $150.00 will incur a postage rate of 10% of your overall purchase price. Example: If $100.00 worth of books, CDs, and magazines have been purchased, then a total of $10.00 (10% of $100) would be the postage rate to deliver anywhere in Australia. The total shipping charge will be displayed on the last page of the online order before you submit your order.
Please note: The minimum postage charge is $8.00. This simply means that if your order is $60.00 then the postage charge is $8.00 and the total purchase including postage will be $68.00.
Delivery Timeframes (Domestic)
Please allow 2-7 working days for delivery of orders shipped via Australia Post.
Please note: Deliveries through Australia Post cannot be easily tracked, unless you use Express Mail or Registered Post.
Rates for International Deliveries
We use Australia Post (Airmail) for orders of up to 10 kg and charge our customers what we are charged for. The minimum postage rate for addresses outside of Australia is $15.00 (up to 500 gr.).
If your order weighs more than 1.0kg (2.2lb, roughly equivalent to 1 or 2 paperbacks), we will let you know what your delivery charge will be, and seek your approval before sending your order
Please note that some countries may charge the recipient duties on the 'import' of parcels from time-to-time. As these charges are the responsibility of the recipient, please check the customs service in your destination country to see if charges are applicable.
